Tenthlining Cost in Kenya

How payment works

Payment is handled by Paystack, a widely used payment processor in Kenya. At the payment step in the WakiliGO tool, you choose between two payment methods:

• M-Pesa STK pushEnter your M-Pesa phone number and tap the button. An STK push prompt arrives on your phone. Enter your M-Pesa PIN to approve the KSh 500 payment. The download unlocks automatically after the transaction clears.
• Debit or credit cardEnter your card number, expiry date, and CVV. The KSh 500 charge is processed securely through Paystack. Download unlocks after payment confirmation.

What you receive

After a successful payment you receive two things:

1. The stamped PDF — your document with line numbers added at every tenth line in the right-hand margin, ready to print and file.
2. A disbursement receipt — an invoice tag in the format WGO-[YEAR]-[REF] | KSh 500.00 (WakiliGO Court Tenth-Lining Disbursement) that you can copy and include in your client bill.

Passing the cost to your client

The KSh 500 fee is structured as a disbursement — a cost incurred on behalf of your client in preparation of their court documents. The disbursement receipt provides a reference you can add to your bill of costs or client invoice, the same way you would record printing, photocopying, or filing fees.

This means the cost of the tool can be recovered from the client rather than absorbed by the firm.

One bundle, one document

A "bundle" is one PDF document processed in a single session. If you have a Record of Appeal that spans multiple volumes, each volume is a separate bundle and each incurs the KSh 500 fee.
